Can someone please explain to me the difference between a plumber and a contractor?

What is the avg cost to have a plumber, not rooter, to clean out roots in a sewer line in Cent. Arkansas?

There’s rice and some other stuff stuck in the u-bend of my kitchen drain. How do i unblock it with cheap stuff? I tried opening it but it was a mess.
