I have read online that plumbers will charge anywhere from $50 to $125 per hour. That translates into $100,000 to $250,000 per year. Do plumber’s really have that kind of earning power?

For the third time i have taken time off work and wasted a day waiting for a plumber to arrive. The company phones me to say they’ll be there in the morning then doesn’t arrive - i phone them in the afternoon and they say they’ll be there soon, still no luck. I am reasonable guy and understading that some jobs take longer than others, traffic etc.! I haven’t harragned the company and have been pleasant. Would you ditch loyality with a company who doesn’t turn up three times in a row.

i’ve been told by a plumber that it is impossible to fit a mixer tap with shower in my bathroom because i have a combi boiler. He said if he did fit a mixer with shower it would only produce scalding hot water. Is this true or are they just trying to make the job easier for themselves.

We had a plumber out/he put two wax rinds on top of the exsisting wax ring to fix our leaky toilet. Now 2 days later it is clogged. WE have hardly used the toilet. Do you think the excessive wax rings may have caused a blockage?

bathroom sink has a slow drip. not bad yet but i’d like to intercept before it gets there. i know how to use your basic tools and i follow directions quite well so if anyone can give me a step by step i could save the plumber a trip.
my bad!! i should have mentioned that the tap is dripping. if it were the drain i’d call a plumber. its yucky down there. i’m too chicken to try that.

I can’t find this type of snake anywhere. I’m not sure it’s even a plumber’s snake. But when you press a button on the handle a small retractable claw comes out the other end. This is usually good for bathroom clogs. Does anyone know where to get one? or if these are known as something else?? Please help!

everything is already purchased, the room is already made I just need the plumber to hook up the sink, shower and toilet to the water, there is already an existing washroom right beside this one. I know its dificult to say, but a ball park figure would be nice.
Thanks
