i’ve been told by a plumber that it is impossible to fit a mixer tap with shower in my bathroom because i have a combi boiler. He said if he did fit a mixer with shower it would only produce scalding hot water. Is this true or are they just trying to make the job easier for themselves.

If the water in your boiler is hot enough, the water from the tap can have any temp as far as I know, depends on how you turn the tap. Works in my home.
