Funny cartoon. Kind of freaky at the end, though. Did he die, or just pass out?

My friend and I still say this when one visits the other. Nobody else finds it funny but us. Who cares? Guess there’s an age limit! Ha!

As a child, I never understood the pedagogical value of this film. The best that I could figure, they were trying to teach children, when alone, not to open the door to strangers.

I cannot for the life of me remember where, but on some recent episode of L&O or CSI or something like that — somebody asks “Who is it?” And one of the other characters says “It’s the plumber, he’s come to fix the sink.”
I stared at the screen as my jaw dropped — and then ROTFLMAO!
And they actually made the line fit into the plot. I had to wonder how many people got the joke.

Oh no, he definitely suffers a massive heart attack or stroke and perishes on the spot! The x’s in his eyes confirm that he is ready for a dirt nap.

Does anyone have the clip of a football player repeating “THROW IT TO ME” over and over until he gets tired and then a giant IT lands on him and he says “I got IT”

The TEC and Sesame animators used to love to cannibalize the old newspaper comics for graphic styles. I can’t remember which comic this one was based on, but it’s lifted cold. I wonder how old those guys were when they made this.
