How much does it cost for a plumber to snake a main pipe clean out?
fazzk7 asked:
So the entire house drain system is backed up. Every drain is clogged after I plunged a clog from the bathtub, must have gotten stuck somewhere down the line. Toilets cant flush, water eventually backs into bathtubs if we run too much water. I figure that the main sewer clean out will need to be snaked. Any advice?

if it’s every drain in your house it may not be a plug… are you on septic or have city sewer? You could have a full tank if you have septic.. A plumber is going to put you out at least 40 bucks even if it took him 5 minutes to snake it out.. they have a fitting you can hook to a garden hose , you insert the rubber bladder into a drain and turn on the water.. the bladder expands to seal off the pipe and forcefully pushes the plug into the sewer.. I’d try the rubber bladder before calling a plumber.. its only like 6 bucks at home depot

fazz, if you’re handy with this sort of stuff, you can run a hose into the drain at the clean-out . remove the nut in the pipe and jamb the hose into the pipe at far as it will go, when you find the blockage, turn on the hose full-blast and keep jambing it down the pipe until it goes though further.
another thing to do b4 doing that is to run each appliance or fixture individually to see which one is the last one on the line that is clogged up and in-between those two fixtures is the clog.
If the hose doesn’t work and you’ve got loot to spare, call the roto-rooter, otherwise get a balloon from the hardware store that screws on to the hose and insert it in the line and the buildup of pressure will blow out the jamb-up.
balloons come in different sizes for all size pipes.
If you have a basement, you can most probably do this in the cellar.
ABS or known as DWV is plastic and if you have to place and in-line clean-out, it can be done easily and inexpensively.

You do not need a plumber.
You need Roto Rooter, the drain cleaning experts. Look in the yellow pages for Roto Rooter.
Cheaper and better than a plumber.

I had a similar problem everything was backing up in my house because of tree roots.
We had old clay lines the tree roots completely cracked them now we have plastic.
Try to snake it yourself it’s cheaper roto rooter can cost over two hundred bucks to snake your line from the main.
On second thought this may be worth the money they are professionals. If you have a more serious problem they can find out what is is and give you an estimate right on the spot.

I get 250.00 for a main drain and 150 for smaller drains. How much would i have to pay you to spray my urine and ***** all over you. Just a sick reality, while drain cleaning I have had stuff spray on my face etc.

I just had this done from Duke’s plumbing and it was $382.00
