The pay varies by region so call your local union .
They have the pay specifics . (and run the programs)
Usually , most apprentice programs pay 60% of the journeyman rate for your area .
The programs are for 8000 hrs (about 4 yrs) of On the Job Training ( OJT) and the related classroom work .
Pay usually increases by 5% for each 6 months of completed OJT and passing the classroom work .
Good Luck !

It takes, typically, 4-5 years as an apprentice to reach journeyman stature. There are night classes involved, and however many hours your local union specifies. You should get a raise every 6 months; you start out around 60% of the journeyman wage, increasing 5% every 6 month period.
The pay will be defined by the area you work in. Bigger cities like Boston, LA, Vegas, Atlantic City, etc. will have a higher pay scale because of the cost of living. Places in more rural areas will have lower wages.
You should search for plumber union (and your city). You should find contact information. Classes usually start up in the fall, as they coincide with the local community college and are worth college credit.
